Muscat: Oman Embassy in New Delhi, India has asked its citizens to take caution due to the climatic conditions that will affect the Odisha area.
The embassy said in statement online: "In view of the climatic conditions witnessed by the state of Odisha in the Republic of India, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in New Delhi calls on citizens not to travel to it and the citizens present in that region take caution and stay away from the coastal areas."
Tropical Cyclone Fani is expected to hit at least 11 provinces with heavy rains.
"Please comply with local government warnings and safety measures until the announcement of the end of the orbital situation and necessity. if necessary please call 00911126885622," the embassy added.
The embassy statement read: "The typhoon is expected to hit at least 11 provinces with heavy rains, including Kerala and southeast India, according to the director of the Meteorological Center."
