
Muscat: The Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Regional Workshop, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman and represented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) concluded today, Thursday.
The regional workshop on NCD Priorities in Children and Adolescents in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) was concluded in the presence of H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, along with Dr. Jean Jabbour, WHO Representative to the Sultanate of Oman at InterCity Hotel Muscat.
The closing day of the workshop included developing a roadmap for non-communicable diseases in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Furthermore, the 3rd day of the workshop addressed the experiences of countries, such as the Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan, on Global Adolescent Health and Well-Being Monitoring Initiatives.
The MOH Directorate General of Primary Health Care jointly organised the Regional Workshop, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and NCD Child.
